How refunds work depending on when and why you cancel.

Cancellation Before Pickup

Your refund depends on how far ahead you cancel. When you cancel you'll be offered two methods — a refund back to your original payment method, or instant credit to your MRI Wallet (usually a higher %).

No-Show Policy

If you fail to pick up the vehicle within 1 hour of the scheduled pickup time without prior intimation, the booking is treated as a no-show. A 100% cancellation charge applies — no refund is provided.

After Vehicle Delivery

Once the vehicle has been delivered (booking status: Active), cancellation is not permitted. Full rental charges apply until the vehicle is returned to the designated location in the same condition as received.

Booking Modifications & Extensions

Extending your booking duration is allowed subject to vehicle availability. Additional charges apply at the same hourly/daily rate.

Shortening the booking duration after confirmation is treated as a cancellation, and the tier table above applies.

Extension requests must be submitted before the scheduled return time. Late requests may incur delay charges.

Late Return & Delay Charges

A 30-minute grace period is provided after the scheduled return time.

After grace period:

Delay charges as per the vehicle's rental rate apply for each additional hour or part thereof. To avoid delay charges, request an extension before the return time.

Damage, Liability & Insurance

The rider is fully responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of the vehicle during the rental period.

Damage assessment is conducted at the time of return. Repair/replacement costs are charged to the rider.

Third-party insurance is included. Personal accident cover is the rider's responsibility.

Force Majeure

In case of government-imposed restrictions, natural disasters, pandemics, or other events beyond our control, MotoRentIndia reserves the right to cancel bookings with a full refund or reschedule at no additional cost to the rider.
